21-2-2019 in Elasticsearch
Just a heads-up: yesterday I was at the Elasticsearch Meetup in Amsterdam where a developer from Elastic gave an early preview of some pretty cool new capabilities: anomaly detection with machine learning.
For now, the focus is on time series and after-the-fact anomaly detection; ideal for intrusion detection or seeing spikes or drops in, for instance, sales or heartbeats.
From what I've seen yesterday I was impressed! It was incredibly simple to use, especially looking at how complex machine learning is and it's all integrated in Elasticsearch which means, distributed processing and storage.
